From 1278 to 1918 it was the seat of the Habsburgs and has long been a center of the arts, especially music. The city offers a unique blend of imperial traditions and stunning modern architecture. It is famous for its cultural events, imperial sights, coffee houses, cozy wine taverns, and the very special Viennese charm.
