From Vienna: Train Vienna → Attnang-Puchheim, then take the ÖBB regional train towards Dachstein (Stainach-Irdning line) to Hallstatt Bahnhof, and cross the lake by boat ⛴️ (⏱️ 3.5–4 h).
From Salzburg: Bus 150 to Bad Ischl, then ÖBB regional train towards Dachstein to Hallstatt Bahnhof, followed by a boat crossing ⛴️ (⏱️ ~2.5 h).
