PART 2 - Pokhara, Nepal – Helicopter Ride To ABC ????????
ABC - Annapurna Base Camp - 25 mins helicopter ride that takes you all the way up to 4,130m / 13,550 feet instead of doing the trekking. The whole trek normally takes 7-12 days.
The scenery on the way to the camp was breathtaking. You will witness the gradual transition from the city and lake to the massive Himalayas. Having bird's eye views of diverse landscapes and flying over the Annapurna region with the utmost views of the snow-capped peaks is one of the best memories from Nepal.
The mountain just behind me is called Annapurna I. It is the main peak of the Annapurna mountain range and the 10th tallest peak in the World. It is also the most dangerous of the world's mountains, with a 29% fatality rate for everyone who tries to climb it. This means every three people attempt to climb this peak, only two make it back.
Nepal keeps me amazed with its diverse landscapes, ruthless mountain environments, adventure opportunities, and, most importantly, love and compassion for humanity in such a small country.
Would you take this short ride? ???? #nepal
