Between 2015 and 2019, there were 172 disciplinary cases of sexual misconduct committed by staff and students from local universities. Minister of State for Education Sun Xueling revealed this in Parliament on Nov 3, when asked about the number of incidents in the past years. This follows a recent case where a National University of Singapore lecturer was dismissed for having an "intimate relationship" with an undergraduate.
