26th Edition of Hornbill Festival Kicks Off in Kisama, Nagaland

The much-awaited Hornbill Festival 2025, Nagaland’s iconic celebration of culture and unity, was formally inaugurated today at the Naga Heritage Village, Kisama. Governor of Nagaland, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, presided over the ceremony as the Chief Host and officially declared the festival open.
The inaugural event was attended by a distinguished gathering, including Dr. Neiphiu Rio, Chief Minister of Nagaland; Temjen Imna Along, Minister of Tourism & Higher Education and Festival Host; and several international dignitaries. Among the special guests were Thierry Mathou, Ambassador of France, Kevin Kelly, Ambassador of Ireland, Maya Tissafi, Ambassador of Switzerland, Hans-Jorg Hortnagl, Austrian Trade Commissioner, Dr Andrew Fleming, British Deputy High Commissioner, and Shyamala Ramanan, Business Head of Mia by Tanishq.
