In the summer of 2019, I got the opportunity to go on an insane trip to Europe through my school's foreign language department and EF Educational Tours Inc. Managing to hit seven different countries over a seventeen day excursion, my tour group was able to visit the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, France, the United Kingdom, as well as some really dope cities and landmarks in between.

Two years later, and I still can't get over what an awesome, once-in-a-lifetime experience this really was. I'm not sure why exactly it's taken me so long to make this video. I guess I kind of just got caught up with life. As for why I'm finally getting to it now . . . lets just say this past year has given me a LOT more free time. In all seriousness, I suppose this is my way of coping with having been trapped in a relatively travel-less pandemic for the past year. Looking back on this footage from quarantine bubble, it was crazy to think about just how different the world was back then. Sure, it may have been a little depressing comparing it to the world as it is now, but honestly, that was far from my main takeaway. Personally, I was just happy to be reminded of a time when everything seemed just a bit brighter.

And therein lies the purpose of me uploading this video now, almost an entire two years late. As the world finally begins to kick the Covid-19 dirt off its boots, my hope for this video is that it could potentially act as a small tribute to that. That it could do for those watching it the same thing it did for me creating it: exist as a reminder. A reminder that better days are not only possible, but that they are hopefully coming soon. My hope for this video is that it could inspire hope. Because if I'm being honest, that feels like something the world could use a lot more of nowadays.
