Have you ever wondered what it’s like to visit Hallstatt & Innsbruck, some of Austria’s most beautiful winter destinations?
We spent 72 hours exploring these magical towns and here’s exactly what we did, ate and saw to help you plan for your Austria winter trip.
We kick things off in Hallstatt (after a lonnnggg day of travel) and get to experience the beauty of this small town by staying overnight without the crowds. We wander around the scenic viewpoint in the snow, enjoy an indulgent meal of goulash and schnitzel, and even get to take a boat to arrive here. I’ll also cover how to get to Hallstatt.
Next, we head to Innsbruck, a winter sports city with the most incredible mountain ranges. We visit the quaint Christmas markets, cosy up in coffee shops and make our way to the ‘Top of Innsbruck.’
Grab yourself a hot chocolate and cosy up – this is what winter in Hallstatt & Innsbruck, Austria’s looks like ❄️
