Salzburg in Austria is the fourth-largest city in Austria and the capital of the federal state of Salzburg. It is internationally renowned for its baroque architecture and is one of the best-preserved city centers north of the Alps, being listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since1997

Salzburg is an Austrian city on the border of Germany, with views of the Eastern Alps. The city is divided by the Salzach River, with medieval and baroque buildings of the pedestrian Altstadt (Old City) on its left bank, facing the 19th-century Neustadt (New City) on its right. The Altstadt birthplace of famed composer Mozart is preserved as a museum displaying his childhood instruments.


The old part or Altstadt of Salzburg is known for its baroque architecture. And in this part of the city is the birth house of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart located. There are many other interesting and historical meaningful buildings in this city which has to be explored.
