After not really being able to travel for months, we finally were able to take a road trip as Germany started opening back up and we went to the most beautiful place we have seen in Germany thus far. Berchtesgaden and Königssee. It is famously located on the Austrian border and just “around the corner” from Salzburg in the German Alps. The nature we encountered was not like anything we have been able to see before in Germany and it felt like we had been transported to Switzerland in our own new home country. The Eagle’s Nest was closed, but that just gives us another reason to go back! ????
