Company Event Description

The Germans are allowed to travel again. First in their own country and now also in Europe. But what does this actually mean? How do the Germans think about their next travel? What is important to them? Will they travel abroad this year at all? This interview with Catharina Fischer from Tourismuszukunft will provide you a deep insight into the German market based on current surveys and actual projects Tourismuszukunft is realizing in several destinations within Germany at the moment.

Catharina Fischer, Consultant @Tourismuszukunft

I am working in digital marketing in the tourism industry for over 15 years. Before I was Head of Social Media at the German National Tourist Board (GNTB) I was in various marketing positions in the tourism industry. At the GNTB I implemented the international Social Media Strategy in 12 markets and created in 2013 one of the first international influencer campaigns which was the starting point for the very successful influencer marketing at GNTB.

Since 2015 I am working for the consulting network Tourismuszukunft and support destinations in Germany, Switzerland and Austria in the field of Digital Marketing with focus on holistic digital strategies including content and data but also on influencers, video and social platforms. Furthermore I worked on several tourism strategies for cities, regions and states.

In 2016 I initiated the industry think tank ‘Change4Destination’ who is dealing with the question of the 'future of public destination marketing'. Apart from that I created the VideoSummit a conference about video in tourism marketing with top videographers and video bloggers from all over the world.
