Though football gets most attention followed by hockey, ice-hockey, basketball and Formula One racing. The country is also famous for its culinary circuits. People eat a well-balanced diet with variations of pork, beef and countless vegetables here. Krapfen, which are essentially doughnuts filled with custard or apricot jam are a very popular bakery item.
With a population of over 8 million, Austria has German as its official language. Others languages including Turkish, Bosnian, Serbian, English, Hungarian, Croatian, Polish, Albanian, Slovenian, Czech, Arabic and Romanian are also spoken here. Austrian nationals share a mixed view on religion. Over 44% of population believe in God, out of which many follow Roman Catholic Church. However, more than 38% people believe in existence of some sort of life force, and 12% do not believe in God at all.
