A magnificent yellow palace, Schönbrunn Palace is the top tourist attraction, a veritable complex of buildings surrounded by a beautiful garden. At this palace, you will find the oldest zoo in the world as well as the summer residence of the Habsburg family.

The fortress Hohensalzburg was built in the 12th century and towers over the city. Throughout the centuries, it has been rebuilt and fortified many times and represents the power the Catholic Church has held here.

On a hill overlooking the Danube, Melk Abbey is a beautiful medieval monastery about 100 kilometers from Vienna. During the 18th century, the monastery was rebuilt into a baroque castle.

Located on the famous Ringstrasse, the Museum of Fine Arts was built in the late 19th century. Originally, it displayed only the royal family's collections, but today it displays the works of many famous artists.
