A vol biv in september from Gerlitzen to Mayrhofen. 300km of beautiful austrian mountains. the plan was simple, to either hike or fly the 150km from Gerlitzen to Werfenweng where we would spend a few days catching up with friends before making the next 150km stretch from Werfenweng to Mayrhofen.


Part 1 follows Irene and I as we embark on the first stretch of the trip. From wild Carinthian valleys to the large Austrian devide in the Salzburgland. The mid September weather made for tough conditions, with hard flying, but despite all the challenges it turned out to be an amazing trip.
