The Wiener Börse is a stock market located in Vienna, Austria (sometimes called the Vienna Stock Exchange).
The Vienna Stock Exchange also owns the Prague Stock Exchange. Wiener Börse was created in 1771 and is one of the oldest exchanges in the world.

The listed stocks are denominated in Euros. Financial instruments include stocks, certificates and warrants. The exchange is regulated by the Stock Exchange Act.
Austria’s economy is a well-developed social market economy, with the country ranking fourteenth in the world in terms of GDP (gross domestic product) per capita.
Until the 1980s, many of Austria’s major industrial enterprises were nationalized; however, privatization has decreased state ownership to levels comparable to other European countries in recent years.
Although certain sectors, such as various iron and steel works, chemical plants, and oil firms that employ thousands of people, are worldwide rivals, the majority of industrial and commercial firms in Austria are rather tiny on a worldwide scale.
The service industry, which accounts for the great bulk of Austria’s GDP, is particularly significant. Over the previous few decades, Vienna has evolved into a financial and consultancy powerhouse, establishing itself as the gateway to the East.
Vienna’s legal firms and banks are among the most prominent organizations doing business with the new EU member nations. Tourism is particularly important to the Austrian economy, contributing for around 10% of Austria’s GDP.
