I’m still in Bariloche, Argentina ???????? and after a couple of days stuck in the hostel recovering from having a wisdom tooth taken out… I finally got back out for a walk.

This place looks incredible — mountains, lake, everything you’d expect from Patagonia — but I’ll be honest… I’m not quite sure what I make of it.

There’s loads to see here:
the cathedral by the lake, chocolate shops everywhere, and a very European feel… but it also feels like it’s been built for tourism.

So this isn’t a guide — just a walk around Bariloche and my honest thoughts as I go.

Oh… and I did manage to try the famous chocolate… sort of ????

I am an older backpacker travelling the world proving that backpacking is not just for the younger generation.
