Bregenz the state capital of Austria's most western state of Vorarlberg situated at the foot of the Pfänder on the southeast side of Lake Constance. Bregenz, which is comprised of Lower and Upper Towns (Unterstadt and Oberstadt) and stretches as far south as the Bregenzer Ache, is best known for its numerous festivals and cultural sites.

Bregenz Hafen is known for being a picturesque harbor on Lake Constance, providing ferry services and beautiful views, especially of the famous Bregenz Festival which uses the world's largest open-air lake stage located nearby. Beyond the harbor itself, the city of Bregenz is known for its cultural institutions like the Kunsthaus Bregenz, the vorarlbergmuseum, and the historical old town.
