Google Maps is extremely helpful in planning your train trip. From suggesting a route, based on your start/end location, date and time of travel.

Google Maps also displays the Train company and OFFICAL ticketing site. Helpful when you don’t know the name of the trains and associated companies. E.g. We traveled on Railjet, a high speed train operated by Austrian Federal Railway (ÖBB).

Note: Our Railjet First Class ticket included:
1. Lounge access - if provided at the Station (we did not visit the lounge)
2. Ability to order food at your seat for an additional cost. Order early as they were very busy (We did not utilize this service)
3. Get seat assignments when purchasing your tickets. It is an additional step at the end of the purchase. If you don’t have a seat assignment, you may be standing or seated in a different class seat.
