The Hofburg is basically Innsbruck’s version of a royal masterpiece and easily one of the coolest spots in Austria. It started as a medieval fort but grew into a massive palace complex over hundreds of years. Empress Maria Theresa later gave it a fancy makeover, adding all the grand rooms and art you see today. Now, the whole area is packed with museums, a cathedral, and some really pretty gardens. It’s the perfect place to explore and see how the Habsburgs lived for nearly five centuries.
