COB'S HALLOWEEN TREAT. Children flocked at the Plaza Mayor on October 28 to join Balanga City's Pokemon-themed Halloween trick or treat.

Dressed as characters of the said anime series, the children roamed around Balanga's main roads before converging at the Plaza Mayor. Upon reaching the Plaza, the children lined up so the passers by may take photographs with them. Ms. Razz Austria and Ms. Maria Teresa Robles judged the children in their best costume.

In his opening remarks, Mayor Francis Anthony S. Garcia said that Halloween celebrations should focus on creativity and not on scare pranks. Mayor Garcia was joined by his wife Raquel, city councilors, and department heads.

Also, a dance competition was held right after the costume display.

Balanga City's trick or treat has become an annual event where children sport their best costumes. Last year's celebration was themed based on Disneyland characters.
