Along the way, I'll give you lots of tips for what to see in Hungary and good food in Hungary. Do you really know Hungary and what do you know about Hungary? This is my first time in Hungary and I thought I'd put together a list of useful and interesting things know about this amazing country in Europe. In this Hungary travel video, I've put together 20 facts that are good to know about Hungary and I'll show you a bit of video footage of my trip to Hungary as well.

Hungary, or Magyarország as the Hungarians call it, is a beautiful country in Eastern Europe with a population of just under 10 million. It's a landlocked country that has 7 direct neighbors with borders to Austria, Slovakia, Ukraine, Romania, Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia. Hungary was one of the first communist-era countries to oppose the Soviet regime during the Cold War, notably with the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. In 1989, Hungary was the first communist-bloc country to open its borders with Western Europe. Today, Hungary is a democratic parliamentary republic and is part of the European Union since 2004. It's also part of the Schengen Area which can be useful to know for visa purposes.
