The wave of refugees in Europe is creating big problems for tourism destinations like Turkey, Greece, Italy and Austria. What is the significance of encounters between tourists and refugees on holiday islands, beaches or city centers? Do feelings of repression and resentment occur? Or does a new form of hospitality arise, from which the tourism industry can also profit? International research results shed light on this truly hot topic of the international tourism industry. There will be a ceremonial signing of the official cooperation agreement between DGT and AIEST in connection with the panel discussion.
