The EU Green Deal has set a vision for all Europe’s key sectors to become climate neutral by 2050. And the bloc is currently looking at ways to reduce agriculture’s emissions which accounts for about 10% of the EU total. One solution to reach this goal is carbon farming, where farmers use certain techniques to capture and store more carbon in their soil. Other solutions could be to expand carbon sinks as well as raise consumers’ awareness.
