In this hiking vlog, we explore the beautiful Dürre Wand in Austria, just a short drive from Vienna — but things didn’t go exactly as planned.

As Filipinos living in Austria, we wanted to experience the local hiking culture and take on a scenic 2-hour hike from the trailhead to a mountain hut. Along the way, we enjoyed incredible views, flew the drone, and even tried recording a podcast with the mountains as our backdrop.

But on the way down, we made a wrong turn.
What was supposed to be a simple hike turned into an unexpected detour that cost us over an hour. As we tried to find our way back, we were rewarded with one of the most beautiful sunsets we’ve ever seen in Austria, something we would have completely missed if everything went according to plan.

With darkness setting in, we had to make our way down quickly, eventually hiking with torches before safely returning to our car.
