This was our first long road trip attempt with three kids under 5. We really had to pre-plan ahead and think of how our journey would transpire in order to manage everyones expectations. Since we were traveling one week to the mountains, then a break in Munich city, before we headed out to the Lake side in Lake Constance (Bodensee), there was a lot of planning to do with what to pack.
