Hallstatt is a popular destination pitted as one of the most beautiful lake towns in Austria. Tourists flocked the small town after it was named as part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is the core of Hallstatt-Dachstein/ Salzkammergut Cultural Landscape region known since medieval age in salt production.

The town is in paper ‘instagrammable’ but Hallstatt’s highlight for me is it’s lake. One can’t go wrong visiting a super clean lake nestled among the mountains.
