After you have legally been in Austria for 5 Uninterrupted years, and have met a number of other requirements , you may apply for tha Austrian residence permit , the long term resident.

Requirements for Permanent residence in Austria ;

1. Had legal status in Austria for past 5 years
2. Financially self Sufficiency
3. Maintained health insurance for 5 years
4. Accommodation Proof
5. Been no threat to security or public order
6. You also must have completed Module 2 of the integration Agreement which includes B1 level of German.

Documents Required ;

1. Application for a residence Permit
2. Passport
3. Passport size photo
4. Birth Certificate
5. Accommodation Proof
6. Financially self Sufficiency
7. Completion of Module of Integration Agreement proof
8. Valid Austrian health insurance
9. Family Relationships documents

How to Apply for Austrian Permanent Residence ;

1. To apply for Austrian permanent residence , you will need to apply in person at the provincial government authority in your city.
2. Processing time may vary, but once approved you will receive credit card shaped residence permit which is valid for next 5 years.

The cost of Austria permanent residence is 120 euro for adults.
