Bus Timetables From Salzburg:

Keep in mind that the first bus leaves Salzburg at 5:55am-6:45am Monday-Saturday, but not until 8:15am on Sunday.

Train Schedules: Austrian National OEBB website (https://www.oebb.at/en ). The first train out 5:12am and the last return is at 6:32pm (ferry 17 minutes before).

Hallstatt Ice Cave & 5 Fingers Tour:

Location: Krippenstein Peak of the Alps’ Dachstein Mountain Range
Elevation: Ice Cave is 4500 Feet & 5 Fingers is 6890 Feet
Distance From Hallstatt: 3 Miles (direct by bus 543)
Time Required: 3-3.5 hours for Ice Cave including round trip transportation including the bus, cable car, and hike. (+60 to 90 minutes for the 5 Fingers; +60 minutes to eat at the Dachstein Lodge)

Free PCR test in Salzburg for tourist

• Official testing facilities: In Austria there is a wide range of testing possibilities. You can get tested in in Salzburg Kongresshauss for free. For appointment registration, just go to https://anmeldung.salzburg-testet.at/#/public
website and scroll down at the bottom of the page and click the flag to change the language to English. Click the appoinment for gargled pcr test choose the timings and choose kongresshaus if you are staying in the old town.

Supervised rapid antigen tests (validity: 24 hours) as well as PCR tests (validity: 72 hours) are offered there. Persons insured abroad do not fill in the field marked "national insurance number". At the testing facilities, the appointment confirmation and a photo ID must be presented.

• Supervised self-tests in hotels: from 1 July, supervised self-tests can be carried out in hotels. Guests carry out the test themselves and are supervised by trained staff who ensure that the procedure is followed correctly. These tests are valid for 24 hours.
