In this 5th episode of our Innsbruck adventure we start with dinner at the quirky vegan-friendly spot Meow Pizzeria Verde — yes, the dishes are all named after cats and “Meow” ????. We tried the pizza with artichokes and a pasta with roasted peanuts. While the food was interesting, we found the flavours a bit bland and the nuttiness not quite our taste — though our friend really enjoyed it.
The next day (Sunday) we opted for a visit to the Tyrolean Folk Art Museum (Tiroler Volkskunstmuseum), since the nearby church was busy with mass. The museum offered a fascinating insight into traditional Tyrolean life: restored wood-panelled parlours from historic farms and noble houses, an impressive collection of “Trachten” (traditional costumes), folk-art, household items, religious objects, and even nativity scenes — a window into how people in Tyrol lived centuries ago.
We end the vlog with us heading off to explore the old town and visit the castle — stay tuned for the next stop!
