From Cortina, we drive to Innsbruck, passing the Bergisel Ski Jump and the Triumphal Arch, built in 1765 to mark the occasion of the wedding of Archduke Leopold,. This is also the beginning of the Maria-Theresien Strasse with St Anne's Column, topped with a statue of the Virgin Mary. We enjoy some gluhweins under the Golden Roof at the Christmas markets in the old town. The following morning, we are surprised by a fresh fall of snow over Innsbruck which gives it a very Tirol Christmas atmosphere.
