International Women’s Day 8 March - We celebrate women who showed what women leadership is all about

Maria Theresa introduced reforms in the 1700’s that improved her empire’s economy, military, education, and public health.

Her initiatives included the study of infant mortality.

reformed education in 1775 forming a new school system where all children - rich or poor - of both genders had to attend school from the ages of 6 to 12. The school reform which was later improved is still in force today
