Ischgl is a ski resort in Austria famed for its apres-ski scene and its open-air rock concerts held at the beginning and the end of each season. Elton John has played here twice, Lenny Kravtiz played last year and Rhianna a few years earlier. Because it connects with a resort in Switzerland, however, I came to this Austrian resort to try to ski Switzerland 'on the cheap'! I got that and SO much more. We fell in love with Ischgl and it wasn't all about the ski. This is my guide to skiing, apres-ski, how good Ischgl is for families and adventure and demonstrates the skiing from Austria into Switzerland which is such fun. We had an awesome time. Great slopes, great food, great activities (zip line, fun park, jumps etc) and a great vibe. Some of the best schnitzel and bratwurst ever! We stayed at the hotel Seiblishof, which as well as being an all-round awesome hotel (and whilst still central its away from the crowd and the noise) caters brilliantly for families/kids and has a great spa and swimming pool. My next video will show EXACTLY how (which slopes and chairlifts to take) to ski from Austria into Switzerland. It's SO easy and such fun. Their motto is 'relax if you can' - it's a great one and really fits!
