The Lakes & Mountains Tour to the Lake District Salzkammergut is one of the most beautiful regions of Austria where the country’s royalty used to spend their summers!

The Lakes & Mountains Tour has its start in the city of Salzburg. The picturesque route takes you past Lake Fuschl with the former archbishopric hunting château, which serves today as a luxury hotel. In the Mozart town St. Gilgen, where Mozart’s mother was born, you will board a boat that takes you across Lake Wolfgang in about 45 minutes. Upon arrival, your tour guide will take you into the pilgrimage church with its famous gothic winged altarpiece by artist Michael Pacher. Afterward, you have the opportunity for coffee and cake in a traditional coffee house or simply enjoy the village of St. Wolfgang.

On your way back to Salzburg, you will pass the myth-shrouded Krottensee, Hüttenstein Castle, and Lake Mondsee.
