Larnaca was where we started our amazing road trip in Cyprus. A road trip through Cyprus features amazing history, beautiful Nature, and delicious food. This Cyprus Travel vlog features a list of what to do in Larnaca and where to go on the best day trips from Larnaca Cyprus.
We landed at the Larnaca Airport and visited the top things to see in Larnaca. Our travel guide suggests that you visit Agios Lazaros, the church where Lazarus, the man raised from the dead by Jesus, lived and was buried when he died again. Then a visit to the amazing Ottoman Fort right on the Mediterranean coast and the archaeological museum are a must for lovers of amazing historical sites.
Our favorite day trip from Larnaca is Choirokoitia, an 11,000 year old UNESCO World Heritage site in Cyprus.

It was the first of 5 YouTube travel vlogs in our travel Cyprus series. Tune in Next week for What to do in Paphos.
Other great side trips from Larnaca include:
- Visiting the nearby salt lakes where thousands of flamingos flock during the wet season
- A road trip into the Troodos Mountains to see Mount Olympus and the Painted Churches of the Troodos Region, another amazing UNESCO site in Cyprus. Our favorite Village and painted church was the Ayios Ioannis (St. John) Lambadhistis Monastery at Kalopanayiotis. However driving in Cyprus is on the left side of the road and the opposite side of the car and the mountain roads are fun but have winding curves and fallen rocks.
- Day trip to Limmasol with a visit to the Kolossi Castle and the sugar factory, and a visit to the nearby city of Kourion, home to another of the top UNESCO sites on Cyprus, which dates back 6,000 years and has a beautiful Roman Theater on the coast.
Cyprus is an amazing island country that was important to many cultures over the last 15,000 years. It is a bucket list worthy destination and a must see for travelers and historians.
