The Ladakh Ski & Snowboard Association (LSSA) received the Rashtrya Khel Prutsahan puruskar 2022 at Rashtrapati bhawan from the President of India Smt. Droupadi Murmu

The team of highly skilled Snow Ski coaches Ice Hockey Coaches, mountaineers and trekkers from Ladakh has been bestowed the award for their hard work to establish different adventure sports and making Kargil in Ladakh an alternate Ski destination for India.
The Highly Qualified team has already worked as senior coaches/instructors with different reputed associations around India.
The team has produced National and International players in skiing and other winter sports and skiers like Alpine Skier who represented India in Austria in the year 2014-15 and Lebanon in 2017-18.
The team is working in the field of sports especially winter sports in Ladakh.

Sadiq Ali (Ski Coach of Ladakh )while talking to our Correspondent said that For the last many years LSSA has been giving training to the local youths to participate in National games across the country.
The Association has already submitted proposal to the Govt of UT Ladakh,Tourism Secretary and Sports Secretary Ladakh to organise national level events in Ladakh and dreamt of eastablishing a world class Ski and Adventure Institute in Kargil Ladakh.
Sadiq Ali thanked all particularly , LG Ladakh Sh RK Mathur, LAHDC Kargil and Leh, especially CEC Kargil Sh. Feroz Ahmad khan ,Er. Punchok Tashi EC Tourism LAHDC Kargil,MP Ladakh Sh. Jamyang Tsering, DC Kargil Santosh Sukhdeve Sh, Ravinder Kumar Secretary Sports UT Ladakh,Secretary Tourism Ladakh, Department of Tourism kargil , DYSSO kargil, IISM Kargil, Prisident LSSA Kacho Showkat Ali and all the members LSSA from Drass to Zanskar Leh to Nubra.

He hoped that this award by the Government of India is the result of their Hard Work and it shows that hardwork doesn't goes in Vain.
