We finally got the chance to tour around morocco after 10 months of lockdown becuase of Covid 19.
These tourists/guests came to us thanks to our business partner Daniela who owns a tour agency in Austria known as Nella Yoga and she specializes in Yoga retreats.
our guests were from Switzerland, Germany and Austria, and they all spent two nights in Marrakech before we met them on the third day. on the first day of the road trip we left Marrakech to go to Ait Ben Haddou, the drive is about 4 hours but it takes much longer to get there because of the too many things to do on the way including stops at some amazing panoramic views at the high atlas mountains, as well as an important visit to the Kasbah of Telouat known also as the pacha's Kasbah and its dating back to the 18th century, with a lot more other things to do . we spent our first night in a beautiful guest house known as Kasbah Rayan Ait Ben Haddou, the guests had the chance to practice their Yoga and take classes at mindfulness before having a delicious dinner . the next day we dedicated the morning to a long visit of the Ksar Ait Ben Haddou which is a fortified village dating back to the 17th century, this Ksar that got more fame with the too many movies that were filmed here including the famous Gladiator. we had lunch back at Kasbah Rayan then we drove to Agdez where we stayed for the overnight .. the guests stayed at a cute little place known as Dar Jnane. the third day of the road trip was the most important because everyone was excited to get to the Sahara Desert .. we drove past Zagora, Tagounite then Mhamid El ghizlane, here the paved road ends and the off-road starts .. the next two hours we spent them driving throught different aspects of the desert including the Hamada (stony desert), Reg (flat sandy plateaus) and Erg (sand dunes) at the end of the second hour we arrived to our camp know as Chez Zaid Desert Camp. the guests had the chance to watch a beautiful sunset, have a delicious dinner and dance on berber music around the camp fire. the next morning and right after breakfast the guests took the camels and went for a ride on our side we loaded our 4x4 cars with everything we need for a picnic and we went to a beautiful middle of nowhere and we made an amazing sitting for our guests where to have lunch.. an hour later the guests arrived on the back of the camels and had a welcoming tea then went for a Yoga session which gave us the time to grill some delicious brochets for them . after lunch everyone had some free time to meditate or take some pictures before we drove back to the camp for an other extraordinary soiree under millions of stars...
See You on our next trip.
