If Innsbruck is the capital of the Alps, then the Nordkette is the jewel of the Alps. Although these are marketing slogans of the local tourism association, I tend to agree. No matter how you arrive in Innsbruck – stepping out of a train, car, or plane – the Nordkette makes a powerful and lasting first impression.
