The Indian security forces eliminated Chief Hizbul Mujahideen commander Saifullah Mir alias Ghazi Haider in an encounter in Srinagar on 1st November. A change in strategy of operations by Indian security forces lately have yielded it big breakthroughs. They are attacking the core, the leadership of the groups. While the Taliban have not put a halt on their offensives against Afghan forces, the growing presence of the Islamic State in Afghanistan is posing a direct threat to the security of the common Afghan civilians. A dastardly terror attack rocked the capital this week as armed terrorists entered the Kabul university campus and killed several students and teachers. The attack was claimed by the Islamic State, although the Afghan authorities also suspect a foul play of the Taliban in this gruesome attack. Terrorism operates like an institution in Pakistan. The country has developed a number of seminaries that work round the clock nurturing people with hateful sentiments and violent thought processes. India has been consistently raising voice against Pakistan sponsored terrorism at various global platforms. Recently, New Delhi registered its strong protest against Pakistan's support to cross-border terrorism. In a virtual statement at the United Nations General Assembly, First Secretary of India’s permanent mission at UN Ashish Sharma highlighted how Pakistan has been fanning hate speech and has increased its support to cross border terror amid COVID 19 pandemic. People in Pakistan are out on the streets protesting against the critics of radical Islamic terrorism. No wonder, the country is the breeding ground for terrorists who are motivated by extreme religious or ideological beliefs. In Pakistan, demonstrations are being held against French President Emmanuel Macron after he pledged to fight Islamist separatism that ultimately leads to radical Islamic terrorism. While Pakistanis were protesting against Macron’s stand on Islamist separatism, another terrorist attack took place in Austria’s capital Vienna which was eventually claimed by the Islamic State.
