Hiking Austrian Alps is a joyful experience.

This time we decided to go to Rax mountain range. It is only a bit over an hour of car drive from Vienna so it is very accessible. There are many parking lots in near proximity of the mountain too. We were able to park just 10 minutes of walking distance from the trailhead.

Since we came by car we wanted to do a roundabout hike. We wanted to hike some peaks and have a great views and maybe some short climbing as well. And that is exactly what we got and it was an amazing experience. I highly suggest this trail, it is beautiful, but be prepared for some serious ascents and descents as well. And bring the ferrata harness with you as well.

So what will be your reward for all the effort? Amazing grand views, fresh air, birds singing, scent of untouched nature and hopefully good mood :)
