We leave Innsbruck and drive to Salzburg, home to Mozart and more recently, Felix Baumgartner. We walk to the Altstadt and the Mozartplatz then catch the Festungsbahn (funicular) up to the imposing Hohensalzburg Castle. After spending most of the day in the castle/fortress, we return to the Altstadt and the awesome Christmas Markets (Christkindlmarkt) which are held around Salzburg Cathedral and the Residenzplatz. Later in the night we are treated to the bells of St Sebastian near our hotel. Next day, we visit the Mirabell Place and Gardens and walk the Stations Of The Cross to the Calvary monument on the Kapuzinerberg Mountain.
