Salzburg - Austria, the town of Mozart

Hi! Gustavo here. Today, we shall visit the charming Salzburg town in Austria. Perhaps more widely known because of Mozart and the musical the Sound of Music. Although the city heavily uses these for tourism, the city still offers a lot beyond that.

The town is quite peaceful and cozy, relatively cheap, full of nice food and beer, and extraordinary views toward the alps. Salzburg is perhaps everything an European small town should be and is a must for people exploring eastern Europe.

It is very easy to reach this town from Munich (Germany) or Vienna (Austria). I did the Munich option which I think is by far better. first, the landscape through the alps in between these two cities is divine and second, there is more options of flights into Germany than Austria. The distances are similar.

2 days are enough for this town, although you can stay much longer there. Even though you can see most quite quickly, is one of these places that you can feel yourself in peace and relax. In summer though, this place might be hell on Earth and I wouldn't like to go.
