Melynda found a free walking tour of Salzburg from BigBoyTravle.com and we took a whirlwind tour of Salzburg. It was post holiday markets and you might not think there's much to do in Salzburg in the winter but we were nearly the only tourists in the city that winter day so we were able to cover a lot of ground quickly. Downside: a few things closed before we could get to them. The winter Salzburg weather was cold and grey but we did get to try a sacher torte!
