- - Social Travel Summit is a gathering of professional travel influencers from around the world, along with marketing executives from tourism boards and brands and I think what makes STS different from other conferences is that it is small, we never have more than 150 delegates and we encourage a lot of sharing of experiences, peer-to-peer experiences, but also between the industry and travel influencers and the whole idea is to network and brainstorm and come up with really good ideas of how we can work better together. - Well STS is important because it's about what I call the premier division bloggers, they're here by invitation, mixing with the industry and actually generating some kind of protocols for the future, it's always looking at the future, it doesn't look at the blogosphere as it was in the past and that's what makes it different. - STS is a family because it's the fourth edition of STS and it's always like a hand selected amount of delegates that really care passionately about the industry and it feels that all of us from a world-wide perspective are coming together to share, to network and learn, really develop the industry standards on a global level. - This is my second time at STS and I'm a huge fan. This conference is awesome, it brings so many people from all over the world together, such a nice time to meet, we get to mingle, we get to learn a little bit and just have a new experience in a new place. - It's my second year and it's amazing. I love this conference, it's by far the best conference I've been to in the travel industry, really high level discussions, fantastic for networking and I love how it's like, good mixture of bloggers and vloggers and industry and people are really open and good knowledge sharing. - I discovered this conference, it was listed in a blog of all the different travel conferences around the world and this one really jumped out at me as one of the higher level conferences out there. I've loved this, it has been one of the highest level conference that I've been to and I was able to meet a lot of people that I have always followed and interacted with online who I had not met in person before. - My first time at here at the social meeting summit has been awesome. I've really loved the presentations, it's been very focused on business strategy, which is the level that I'm at and the information that I want more of and the networking opportunities have been phenomenal. I definitely think the people this summit is suited to is definitely bloggers looking to build a business from their blog and DMOs, I think it's so beneficial for them to come and to learn what the industry's doing, to see how they can work with bloggers and for bloggers to meet with DMOs and find ways that they can collaborate together in really powerful ways. - STS is a very professional event, you can feel the professionalism and the passion they put in organizing it and also in all the attendees, so it becomes the perfect event for both learning and building new professional opportunities. - It's very first time Sri Lanka Tourism participate in STS and it's been amazing, the organizers how they are organizing it and the feeling sharing among the trade and also with the bloggers, it's so amazing, so warm. - I think there's a really nice cross section of different people from different places. A lot of the conferences that I've been to hasn't been such abroad spectrum of people coming together, so it's been interesting to get different viewpoints. - We've come to an end after two amazing days full of great talks, great sessions and you know, just a lot of fun as well and I'd just really like to thank my team for putting up, for helping me put up a great show once again and also to our partners for making this conference possible: Austria National Tourist Office, Tirol Tourist Board, Kitzbuhel Tourism, Sri Lanka Tourism and Austrian Airlines. A big thank-you to everyone for making this so amazing. - Well what we figured out that we established a complete new industry as professional travel bloggers and we needed a place where we can, not just network, but really also deliver workshops and presentations on a very high level. The DMOs, what is amazing they share a lot of experiences, they can learn a lot, they learn from each other and they can learn a lot from the bloggers......................
