The Spanish Riding School is an Austrian institution dedicated to the preservation of classical dressage and the training of Lipizzaner horses, based in Vienna, Austria, whose performances in the Hofburg are also a tourist attraction.

The world-famous performances of the Lipizzaners - the "Ballet of the White Stallions" - take place in the from 1729 to 1735 under Charles VI. The magnificent baroque winter riding school built in the Hofburg takes place in the most beautiful riding hall in the world.
The demonstrations are the result of many years of training and intensive work by the riders and their Lipizzaners. The stormy young stallions enchant the audience as much as they do already
fully trained school stallions who show themselves in the school quadrille, in the schools on and above the ground, in the pas de deux and in the long rein.

This atmosphere and the accompanying classical Viennese music make the wonderful presentation by the rider and their Lipizzans even more enjoyable.
