there are SO many places in austria that are worth visiting and I can’t wait to go back and explore more places ????

but this is how I personally chose to spend a two week roadtrip that I can highly recommend ????????‍♀️

I hope you find it helpful in planning an upcoming trip to austria and feel free to adjust this to your likes and timeline ????

as always please remember to respect the locals, nature, and leave every place you leave as you would wish to find it ????

on the hikes remember to stay on the trails, pick up your trash, bring the needed gear, and do not take any unnecessary risks ????

ps. this is a point to point road trip but you could easily head back to salzburg or start in innsbruck instead and add more stops on the return journey ✨

2 weeks austria road trip ????????

DAY 1 & 2
????salzburg

explore the beautiful city and head to ????gollinger wasserfall one of the days ????

DAY 3 & 4
????schafberg
????wolfklammsee

spend one day hiking up the iconic schafberg mountain (or take the cogtrain) then the next enjoying wolfklammsee and st. wolfgang im salzkammergut ☀️

DAY 5
????hallstatt

stay the night to enjoy the village in the quieter hours of the evening and early morning and explore the lake and surrounding area ????

DAY 6
????hochkeil
????liechtensteinklamm

hochkeil is an easy 45 minute hike with insane views and liechtenstein is a stunning gorge mini hike (then drive to zell am see for the night) ⛵️

DAY 7
????zell am see

enjoy a stunning lake day exploring the region

DAY 8
????kaprun hochgebirgsstauseen

take the bus to the two dams to explore and go on a day hike, then head to innsbruck to sleep ⛰️

DAY 9 & 10
????innsbruck

explore the beautiful city of innsbruck and the nearby attractions ✨

DAY 11
????seebensee
????drachensee

hike to seebensee and drachensee, one of the prettiest day hikes in austria ????

DAY 12
????kühtai

famous for its ski slopes, this area is often overlooked in summer but it’s beautiful ????

DAY 13
????olpererhütte hike

famous for good reason, end your trip with this iconic hike ????‍????
