Quando falamos em sustentabilidade no turismo pensamos de imediato em projetos que têm como preocupação central a preservação do meio ambiente. Embora esta seja, de facto, uma componente preponderante no turismo sustentável, não podemos deixar de lado as vertentes social e económica. Por isso, neste episódio da série Sustainable Destination vamos ao encontro de negócios do interior de Portugal que valorizam a utilização de produtos locais, contribuindo, desta forma, para o desenvolvimento dos territórios e das comunidades onde estão inseridos. Trás-os-Montes, região situada no extremo nordeste de Portugal e conhecida pela sua rica e diversificada flora e fauna, é desta vez o nosso destino. Começamos por conhecer os encantos do Glamping Hills, um empreendimento que procura fazer uma fusão de campismo ecológico com glamour. E logo a seguir, em Bragança, visitamos a cozinha do primeiro restaurante com estrela Michelin da região, o G Pousada, que se tem vindo a destacar por apresentar os sabores mais tradicionais de Trás-os-Montes com criatividade e inovação.

When we talk about sustainability in tourism, we immediately think of projects that are concerned with the environment. Despite being, in fact, a predominant component of sustainable tourism, we cannot ignore the social and economic aspects. Therefore, in this episode of the Sustainable Destination series, we will find companies from the interior of Portugal that value the use of local products, thus contributing to the development of the communities where they operate. Trás-os-Montes, a region located in the extreme northeast of Portugal and known for its rich and diverse flora and fauna, is our destination this time. First, we discover the charms of Glamping Hills, a project that seeks to create a fusion of ecological camping with glamor. Soon after, in Bragança, we visit the first restaurant with the Michelin star in the region, the G Pousada, which has stood out for presenting the most traditional flavors of Trás-os-Montes with creativity and innovation.
