When we talk about sustainability in tourism, we immediately think of projects that are concerned with the environment. Despite being, in fact, a predominant component of sustainable tourism, we cannot ignore the social and economic aspects. Therefore, in this episode of the Sustainable Destination series, we will find companies from the interior of Portugal that value the use of local products, thus contributing to the development of the communities where they operate. Trás-os-Montes, a region located in the extreme northeast of Portugal and known for its rich and diverse flora and fauna, is our destination this time. First, we discover the charms of Glamping Hills, a project that seeks to create a fusion of ecological camping with glamor. Soon after, in Bragança, we visit the first restaurant with the Michelin star in the region, the G Pousada, which has stood out for presenting the most traditional flavors of Trás-os-Montes with creativity and innovation.
