The town has made a promenade alongside the lake, and if you look carefully, you will encounter the above gate in the wall, that is otherwise green with ivy, next to the promenade. It is a local tradition: when two people are in love, they have their names engraved in a lock, attach it to the gate, and, of course, throw away the key into the lake. Located in the north west of Hungary, Tata is a town in Komarom Esztergom county. It is modest in size with only an estimated 24,000 inhabitants. As well as Hungarians there are also some German and Roma people. The main roads there are the E60, the M1 and E75 which connect Tata with the capital Budapest, as well as the city of Vienna in Austria.
