LSU in the Heart of Europe offers a first-hand introduction to the history, society, art, and technology of Central Europe. We visit museums and galleries, tour castles and cathedrals, attend concerts, and walk through some of Europe's most picturesque and vibrant locations.

We will be based in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic and the former capital of Czechoslovakia and the Kingdom of Bohemia. Besides exploring the layers of culture in the city itself, we will take day trips to surrounding locations (Pilsen, Brno, Theresienstadt, Kutná Hora, and more). The Czech Republic is safe, welcoming to visitors, and easy to get around. Many people speak English. If COVID protocols permit us to travel more widely, we will also visit Germany (Dresden, Leipzig) and Austria (Vienna).
