Nestled in the heart of Vienna, the Austrian National Library’s State Hall is a marvel that every book lover and history enthusiast must visit. Often hailed as one of the most beautiful libraries in the world, this architectural masterpiece is a true testament to Baroque grandeur and cultural richness.

????️ This magnificent library was built between 1723 and 1737 and was originally constructed to house the Emperor’s private collection. It has since become a symbol of Austria’s rich intellectual and cultural heritage.
???? As you step into the State Hall, you’ll be greeted by a breathtaking sight: a vast, 80-meter-long hall adorned with ornate frescoes by court painter Daniel Gran.
???? The State Hall houses an impressive collection of over 200,000 volumes, including priceless manuscripts, rare books, and historic globes. Among these treasures is the 15th-century Gutenberg Bible, one of the first books printed using movable type.
