Today we are in the Austrian capital of Vienna…Join The Adventures along with our friends as we tour Europe’s most elegant and romantic cultural capitals. On our first day in Vienna, we did a walking tour focusing on the Innere Stadt, the central 1st District. We walked to Heldenplatz a public square surrounded by the magnificent Hofburg Palace, elegant buildings, and grand residences. We pass the beautiful Parliament building all the way to the Gothic style Viennas city Hall and also seen the yearly venues of the famous Christmas market and skating rink. We did some window shopping at Kärtner Strasse and Graben. Had dinner in one of the famous steak house at the city center. The highlight of our first day was our tour of the great Gothic St. Stephen’s Cathedral.

Vienna is rated as one of Europe’s safest city but as always, it’s advisable to be on your guard for pickpockets, especially in tourist areas.
