#VanLife Road Trip Greece to North Cape (Nordkapp) and Back
Norway has been on the bucket list for many years. The opportunity presented itself to do the trip with our furry babies and the decision was made; our minds made up - let’s do it!
We planned the 13,000km trip, prepared and packed our camper van “Isabel”, loaded Rafa and Gandhi, plus the mobile office, and off we went. The long journey North has begun.
We feel grateful and blessed that we get to this, and share our #vanlife adventure through Europe and Scandinavia over the next 7 weeks. Come ride along!
Week 1 (Part 1 of 7)
We left Porto Heli on the Peloponnese in Southern Greece and headed for Patras to cross the Gulf of Corinth onto mainland Greece. From there we followed the Ionian coast up to Igoumenitsa for the 10 hour ferry crossing to Bari in Italy. We then travelled North along the Adriatic Coast to San Marino where we turned inland to Lake Garda. We left Italy and entered Austria for a night outside Innsbruck. From here we travelled through Alpine villages and entered Germany. We travelled via Munich and ended at a lake just North of Nürnberg.
The first week was all about adapting, re-organising, and getting used to the 4 of us sharing a very limited space. We now have the routine worked out and ready for week 2!
Stats Week 1
Distance: 1998 km
Travel Time: 40h 34m
